Furniture, pergolas, pavilions, boat planks with hardwood surfaces, such as teak, robine, mahagoni, beechwood, oak, bangkirai.
Never use a high-pressure cleaner or hard abrasive paper to clean to avoid roughening of the surface, natural wax and oil getting to the surface and making the wood dirt- and water-sensitive. Tenacious stains or discolorations must be removed using abrasive paper with a granularity of about 400.
The cleaner can be used to clean dirt and grime and keep the natural patina or to restore the original wood color.
1. Keeping the natural Patina
Add 1 cup of MELLERUD Teak Cleaner to ¾ bucket of water. Distribute evenly using a sponge. Scrub the wood thoroughly using a scrub, rinse well with water and let dry.
2. Restoring the original wood color
Apply MELLERUD Teak Cleaner undiluted to dry wood and distribute using a sponge or a brush. Leave on for about 20 min., but make sure it does not dry. Keep damp by repeating the application.
Brush with a soft brush to remove the grey patina. Work in direction of the grain so the product can penetrate the surface. Wash off with plenty of water and let dry. Protect wood with MELLERUD Teak Oil from premature graying, dirt and stains.
