Through the application of the sealer the surface repels dirt and a shiny protective layer is created which increases the surface’s color and structure. The stone sealer is water-resistant and highly UV-resistant. It combines with the surface and protects the interior and the exterior. Fast drying.
For all absorbing natural and artificial stone paving stones, such as shale, marble, sandstone, Terrazzo, Solnhofer paving stones, porous clinker, washed-out concrete and concrete stone. Also suited for alkaline surfaces, such as concrete. For floors, staircases, patios, balconies and window sills, etc. Can be used to protect joints from watery and oily spots, makes joints water-resistant and increases the color-depth. Does not bridge splits.
Clean surface thoroughly. For acid-insensitive surfaces, such as unglazed ceramics tile, we recommend MELLERUD Tiles and Stone Cleaner; for all other calcareous natural and artificial stone, such as marble, Terrazzo, shale, sandstone, etc., we recommend MELLERUD Intensiv-Grund-Reiniger. Let dry well. The surface must be dry before any application. Thinly and evenly apply MELLERUD Stone Sealing with a brush or a roller. It is very important that you adapt the applied amount to the absorptivity of the stone. Do not use too much of the product. To much product will create streaks. The sealer will dry quickly, but should be protected from wetness for two days after application. Do not step on the surface until after the sealer is hardened.
Always use in a well ventilated area. If wet spots appear after application, the stone is wet. Protect the stone from wetness on the surface and from below. Do not use in temperatures of less than 10°C (50°F). Not suited for stoneware, granite, etc. and on surfaces with low absorptivity. If you applied too much MELLERUD Stone Sealing you can remove the product using a remover containing solvent.
