Protects all fine stonework tiles and joints effectively and for a long time from oil, fat and water spots. Resistant to limescale and water and prevents organic growth. Product is invisible and does not form a film.
For matte, natural, highly polished, finely ground, structured and profiled fine stonework on floors, walls, working surfaces, tables, etc.. Can be used both indoors and outdoors.
The substrate must be clean and dry before treatment. For this reason, remove mortar and joining compound residues from newly laid floors with MELLERUD Cement Strike Remover. On older floors, clean intensively with MELLERUD Basic Cleaner Intensiv. After drying, apply undiluted MELLERUD Refined Stoneware Impregnation using a paint roller or brush, in a thin covering layer. An additional wet-on-wet application increases product effectiveness. However, product should not be applied to surface in excessive amounts, apply no more than the substrate can absorb. On wall surfaces, work from the bottom up. Allow product to soak in for approx. 1 h, then take up Impregnator that has not been absorbed with a dry, absorbent cloth. If the product has started to dry, the film can be removed with a cloth soaked in petrol, cleaner’s naphtha or Refined Stoneware Impregnation. Then polish off residues with a clean, dry cloth. No smears should be left behind. Do not walk on treated surfaces, touch them or expose them to moisture until dry. Impregnation requires 24 h of reaction time to become fully effective.
Due to the closed surface of fine stonework, apply only the amount of product that the tile can absorb. Never treat fine stonework with layered or pore-filling cleaners, e.g. wax emulsions or liquid soaps (e.g. polishes etc.). To achieve effective joint protection, the Refined Stoneware Impregnation should be applied to saturate the clean, dry joint. If the joints are not hardened, or are moist or soiled, irregularities or colour changes may occur. We recommend MELLERUD Refined Stoneware Cleaner for optimum regular care.
