Area of application

For all acid-insensitive surfaces, such as tiles, ceramic stove tops, Cotto paving stones, natural stone, such as granite, shale and quartzite, washed-concrete paving stones and glass.

Practice

Wet surface with water and apply MELLERUD Cement Streak Remover undiluted or diluted (max. 1:5) with MELLERUD Spray gun or a sponge. Leave in, scrub with a hard brush and rinse thoroughly with water. Change water frequently. The rinse water can be poured into the drain. Do not allow product to dry on the surface while cleaning. Work on one small spot at a time on large surfaces.

Advice

Do not use on acid-sensitive tiles and surfaces (calcareous natural stones, such as marble, shell limestone, Solnhofer, Jura, Travertine). Cover all enameled and chrome objects. Remove metal in closed-in rooms and cover them. Test on an inconspicous spot. Caution with granite types! Several types of stone are sold under the name “granite“, which, however, do no have the same characteristics as granite. Granulite, for example, such as Kashmire White can discolor when you apply MELLERUD Cement Streak Remover; on polishes grandiorite, such as Padang grey or Crystal black it can destroy the shine. Therefore, test the product first! We recommend MELLERUD Grouting Protection to protect from penetration into the joint compound on unglazed tiles and natural stone. Apply this product evenly and thinly to the cleaned surface. After a reaction time of 12 hours it prevents the bonding of the joint compound with the stone surface.
